Administration Staff News
Sean Rose is moving out of state so is no longer in the position of the Admissions and Marketing Director. We wish him and his family the best of luck in their new endeavor and are very excited to announce his replacement. Jose Bolanos will be our new Director of Admissions and Marketing! We know he will be wonderful in this new role and we are very close to securing a new staff member to be our Administrative and Development Coordinator. We will share more information soon!
The Country Montessori traditional Thanksgiving feast will be Friday, November 22nd. The menu will include turkey, fresh carrots with ranch dressing, tater tots, cornbread muffins, applesauce, apple juice and a pumpkin dessert. If you think that your child would not like this menu, please send along a lunch. Otherwise, don’t bother with that lunch bag!
Elementary & early childhood students will be divided among the buildings to preserve the community spirit for our Thanksgiving celebration.
The elementary and early childhood children arrange the tables and chairs in each of the rooms. The tables are set with our usual place mats and glasses. The children are served buffet style with the oldest children being served first as they are better at waiting with their food until everyone is ready. Once the entire group is served we have our feast together. The staff passes around seconds, and many times third helpings. Afterwards the children clean up in the customary style with the hosts and hostesses. The elementary children take on extra jobs as well.
Now, after reading this, we are sure you are all excited and ready to come as well. Unfortunately, we cannot invite parents/ guests on this day since there is not sufficient space for all families. However, you can still get involved by letting us borrow crock pots, apple core peelers, roasting turkeys, or cooking tater tots. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
If your child will not be here to partake in our festivities, please let us know.

Please contact Jose to register for child care.
With the weather forecast showing a very high chance of showers and thundershowers on Wednesday, we are going to reschedule the Walk-a-thon. Having families in attendance to cheer on the walkers/ runners is part of the fun! We have decided to reschedule the Walk-a-thon to Wednesday December 4th.
We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you will be able to join us on Wednesday December 4th.
On the day of the Walk-A-Thon (NEW Date: Wednesday December 4th)
Ensure students wear comfortable walking shoes. Remember, THIS IS NOT A RACE, but a way for students to have fun and raise money for their school. Walkers will complete their laps on school grounds. CMS staff will be keeping track of the number of laps each student walks. After the event, all the students will be provided fresh fruit and water.
Families are invited to come and cheer on our walkers/ runners and take photos at the walk-a-thon. Early childhood will take their turn from 10am – 10:45am and Elementary will go at 10:45am – 11:30am. There will be time to take photos with family and friends. After each group takes their turn they will return to their classrooms for fresh fruit and water.
The Walk-a-thon is a fun and exciting way for students and families to get involved and help support our fundraising efforts for additional school security upgrades and new technology for the computer lab.
