Community Outreach

Dear CMS Families,

A valued mission here at CMS is to respect and honor the environment in which we live and depend on. In years past, we have participated in community clean up events, and the children and parents involved have benefited greatly from the experience, and have had a lot of fun in the process! This year, we have taken things one step further by partnering with I Love a Clean San Diego and adopting Fletcher Cove in Solana Beach. We will aim to protect this beach and the wildlife surrounding it by hosting 3 clean up events every year: spring (May 13, 2017), summer (July 8, 2017) and fall (TBD). The first event will be on:

Saturday, May 13 from 8:30 am – 10:00 am.

Please remember:

* Children must be accompanied by an adult, and all parents, siblings, and friends are invited

* Clean up supplies will be provided, but please bring work or gardening gloves if you have them – these can often be in short supply!

* Please don’t forget your CMS t-shirts, sunscreen, hats, closed-toe shoes, and water!

* In order to participate, you must print and complete the attached waiver (copies are also in your mailboxes and at the office) and return to the office prior to the event. Waivers will also be available at the event, in case of any last-minute attendees.

From I-5, take Lomas Santa Fe Dr. west, all the way to the ocean.

Parking:

Free public parking lot and street parking.
