Tuition and fees
Rates shown are for the 2026–2027 school year. Country Montessori School runs a 10-month school year, Monday through Friday. Annual tuition can be paid in 10 monthly installments.

Good to know
- Sibling discount on tuition: 10% for a 2nd child, 15% for a 3rd, 20% for a 4th. (Does not apply to child care or summer camp.)
- Parent participation: 20 hours per year for two-parent families, 10 hours for one-parent families.
- Our calendar follows the Poway Unified School District calendar for vacation days.
- All payments are non-refundable.

Child Development Associates (CDA)
CMS is an approved provider for CDA, which offers child care subsidies to qualifying San Diego County families based on income. Assistance is often administered through the YMCA.

How enrollment and payment work
Payment terms are detailed in the enrollment contract. Your child's place for the school year is secured once the contract is signed online and the non-refundable enrollment fee and first tuition installment are paid. The remaining tuition is paid in installments by ACH (automatic bank transfer) or by check on the 5th of each month.
Absences
Tuition is an annual amount divided into 10 payments for the 10-month school year. Because school expenses don't change when a child is absent, tuition is not reduced for absences due to illness, vacation or other reasons, including extended absences.
Withdrawing from CMS
If you decide to withdraw your child, CMS requires at least 30 days' written notice before your child's last day of attendance. Payments already made for the current payment period are not refunded. If your child's last day of attendance falls in the next payment period, that period's payment is due in full.

How much is tuition at Country Montessori School?
For 2026–2027, the half-day Transition program for 3-year-olds (8:30 am–12:30 pm) is $13,150 per year. Preschool and kindergarten (8:30 am–2:30 pm) and Elementary (grades 1–5, 8:30 am–3:00 pm) are $16,700 per year. Tuition can be paid in 10 monthly installments. The enrollment fee is $300.

What ages does Country Montessori School serve?
Children ages 2.5 through 5th grade. Preschoolers must be at least 2 years, 6 months old by September 1 and toilet-trained. Kindergarteners must be 5 by September 1, and elementary students at least 6 by September 1.
How do I enroll my child?
Start with a tour, then complete the online application. Preschool and kindergarten families then bring their child for a readiness visit, and elementary families share academic records and schedule a half-day visit. See our Admissions page for every step.
Is there before- and after-school care?
Yes. Care is available from 7:30 am and until 6:00 pm for $9 per hour or $300 per month for unlimited care. Child care on days school is closed is $50 per day.
Are there sibling discounts or financial assistance?
Siblings receive 10% off tuition for a 2nd child, 15% for a 3rd, and 20% for a 4th. CMS is an approved provider for Child Development Associates (CDA) subsidies and partners with Child Care Aware of America for military families.
