It is through movement that the child arrives at understanding music. It is not only by playing and singing for the child that this happens; he must understand it by his own movements.

This year’s Annual Auction & Dinner will be held at The Heights Golf Club in Rancho Bernardo, May 20th from 4-7pm. We hope that you will be able to come join us for Hors d’oeuvres, Dinner, Bar, 50/50 Opportunity Drawing, Silent & Live Auction items, and our Wine Wall. The event will be for the whole family!

This is our last fundraiser of the year, and it is rapidly approaching. We are eager to begin our call for classroom basket donations and community outreach.

Classroom Baskets
Each year, The Classroom Baskets campaign promotes a fun and easy way for families to get involved by helping support CMS.  We are asking families to contribute to their child’s classroom basket. All donations will be used to create themed baskets which will be auctioned at our Auction event. Each classroom has a different theme for their basket:

  • Dragonflies – Food & Beverages

  • Ladybugs – Crafts & Hobbies

  • Bumblebees – Beach Day

  • Eagles – Family Night

  • Owls – Adventure & Sports

Our goal is to collect enough donations to create 1-3 classroom baskets for each of the themes.  All donations for the classroom basket can be dropped off in the office or with your classroom teacher.  Please put your name on the item donation so we can keep track of all our wonderful family donors.

Community Outreach

If you are out in the community and have an opportunity to ask for an auction donation, please do! Many local businesses support local fundraisers for non-profit organizations such as CMS! If you need a donation request letter, please let susank@countrymontessori.org

Please turn in all donations by May 10th

Attendance and Tardiness

Country Montessori puts an emphasis on the importance of students being to school on time not only for themselves but for their classmates and classroom.  All students should be in class by 8:30.

There is a grace period until 8:40 for our Early Childhood students to accommodate car seats.  This does not apply to  elementary students.  Daily attendance is taken each morning and recorded.  Absences and tardies will be reflected on the students report card and we discourage excessive tardiness and absences.

Late Arrival Procedures

If your student is late to school you need to park and accompany them and wait outside the office in the enclosed area.  Administration will take all tardy students to class at 9:00 AM.  Please make every effort to have your student to school on time.  This applies to both Early Childhood and elementary students.

Child Care

Morning child care is offered every morning at 7:30 and after school child care is from 2:45-6:00 PM. If you are interested in our unlimited child care please contact Jose at Joseb@countrymontessori.org.   Please wait outside the front gate with your child when dropping off for child care and a teacher will greet you at the gate.  Follow the same procedure when picking up your child from afternoon child care.

Parking

For visitor parking please use the spots in front of the school.  The parking spots located by the dumpster are employee parking and certain staff arrive at different times of the day.

Masking

Masking is optional at this time.

COVID-19 Vaccination Record-Please Provide a Copy

If your child is vaccinated please provide a copy of their COVID-19 vaccination card.

Please send your COVID-19 vaccination card to Jose Bolanos joseb@countrymontessori.org so that this information can be documented with the school.

Head Injury Policy

In the event of an injury above the neck we will call the student’s parents to inform them of the incident and require them to come to the school and check them out and make the decision to take their student home or leave them at school. The student is monitored until the parent comes to school.  If the staff member notices any changes to the student’s condition, 911 will be called and the parent is immediately called to let them know.
