2019 Summer Camps

Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for March 7th and 8th. On Wednesday March 6th your child’s report will be available through your RenWeb portal at 4:00 pm.

The Focus of these conferences is your child’s overall development. They also afford time to share any issues or concerns you may have. Conferences should open the door to effective communication between parents and teachers. Children should not attend the conference so that the discussion may be completely open.

Conferences are twenty minute sessions. In consideration of your child’s teacher and other families, please be prompt. These non-instructional days are set aside especially for these conferences and the teachers put a lot of time and effort into preparing each child’s report. If you should miss the conference, it will not be rescheduled.

Child care is being offered for full-day ($45), for a half-day ($25), or for the conference only (free). You must sign up in advance to allow CMS to staff accordingly. To sign up for child care please email Jose Bolanos joseb@countrymontessori.org to let him know if you will need full-day, half-day or child care only during your conference.

American Montessori Society Annual Conference-March 21 and 22

Every school year the school closes for professional growth days where the teachers are able to attend the AMS Annual Conference. They attend workshops and networking events where they collaborate with Montessorians from around the country and world and come back energized and fresh with new ideas to better serve their students. Child care will be offered during these days, please contact Joseb@countrymontessori.org if you will be needing it.

Procurement & Donations:

The success of our event depends on the quality of items we have to auction, and your role is incredibly important to making this happen. Assisting with donation procurement is a fun and easy way to earn service hours on your schedule and help support our fundraising efforts. There are lots of creative ways to procure items.

If you are out in the community and have an opportunity to ask for an auction donation, please do! Many local businesses, especially the larger ones (think hotels, B&B’s, restaurants, etc.) have policies that they’ll only donation to fundraisers for organizations in the communities they serve. So, for example, if you are out to dinner at a restaurant you frequent, consider speaking to the manager and asking if they would donate a gift card to support the CMS auction event.

Once you procure an item, please bring it to the CMS office. Even if you don’t physically have the item, or if the item is an intangible experience (like a certificate for a stay), please fill out the Auction Procurement Form and turn it into the office so that we can track and account for it.

Our procurement deadline is Tuesday, April 30, 2019. Ask us for ideas; ask us for help, and thank you for your support.

So much of what we do at CMS is only made possible through the hard work and dedication of all our amazing CMS families. Thank you for your participation. We look forward to a great event!

Front Gate

Currently we are using the code (1,2,3,4 #). Our system is set up with alerts so that when the gate is opened without using a key code or the exit button the security camera snaps a photo and sends an alert message to our system.

Our goal is for the keypad and exit buttons to be used so that these alerts/ snapshots serve as safety messages for anytime the gate is opened without authorization.

We appreciate your assistance as we continue build upon our school’s security features. Please help promote school safety by using the entry code and exit button.

Cheers,

The CMS Family
